The Stormfront Jacket is built for hunters and guides in sopping coastal regions who literally live in their rain gear. Constructed from a rugged three-layer GORE-TEX® Hardshell fabric, this is the most durable and abrasion resistant rain jacket in our line. It is ideal for extended wet-weather hunts in the thick, unforgiving willows of moose and brown bear country.
The uninsulated Stormfront Jacket breathes well in mild temperatures, but it’s fit to accommodate layers from the Kelvin Series underneath, so it can be used well into the coldest, most brutal months of far northern winters. All zippers are welded and watertight. The zippered hand pockets are placed higher than usual for two reasons: One, their contents are held clear of your backpack waist belt and, two, when you put your hands in your pockets, water flows off your elbows rather than into the pockets. Two chest pockets and two forearm pockets cache your necessities and keep them dry. The four-paneled hood can be stowed in a zippered collar pocket to keep your ears clear and the noise down when the action heats up. An extended tail keeps water shingling off your body and out of your pants when in the saddle or glassing on rain-slicked shale, and keeps wind gusts from penetrating your micro-climate. Rubberized cuffs seal out the deluge for when your arms can’t just hang at your side.
Reserved for extended periods of time in the most extreme, wet weather conditions, the Stormfront is our most bombproof and livable rain jacket.

The GORE-TEX® membrane: The secret of GORE-TEX® products -- which are both completely waterproof and completely breathable at the same time -- lies within its our revolutionary bi-component membrane. The membrane contains over 9 billion microscopic pores which are approximately 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times bigger than a molecule of moisture vapor.
